"My thing...what I hope to do all the time, is to be so completely myself...that my audiences, people who meet me, are confronted. They’re confronted with what I am, inside and out, as honest as I can be. And this way they have to see things about themselves, immediately." //// Nina Simone ///

From a young age, Marissa has been captivated by the world of story telling, showcasing her creativity through all aspects of her life. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Marissa grew up with a passion for the arts. Whether through dance or playing music, she always found herself showing full expression in her performances.
Marissa attended the Art Institute of Dallas where she developed a keen eye for design leading to a successful career in Visual Communications. During her Graphic Design positions she acquired the experience of being behind the camera and understanding both the creative and technical sides of projects. Understanding how to influence an audience through the art of visuals and performance. Her experience in the industry further fueled her creative passions, enriching her approach to every acting role she undertakes.
During one of her projects she found herself in front of the camera, and that was when everything “clicked”. With the unique ability to understand what was needed behind the camera she began her journey training to create a powerful and grounded performance in front of the camera. Since then, she has embraced every opportunity to act, making the screen her second home.
Marissa launched her career in 2016 working on commercials, music videos, and short films.
She soon found herself on episodes of Netflix’s “Better Call Saul” & “Longmire”.
Since then she has appeared in several feature films across from Robert Redford and Casey Affleck in “The Old Man & The Gun” and across from Cathrine Keener in “No Future” to name a few.
Her passion for the arts has grown over the years, driving her to pursue acting as a lifelong career. Diving into script analysis, character development, and cinematography she adds
depth and authenticity to every performance.
She continues to enjoy the collaboration of working with others to create worlds and stories that may take someone on a journey outside of their everyday life.
Outside of acting Marissa continues to utilize her creative skills. Working as a commissioned artist in both the graphic and interior design field. But regardless of where she puts her energy she is always creating and finding ways to tell a story that connects to an audience.🖤
